Celebrating summer
You might have noticed that we like to stress traditional workmanship in our decorating.
I decided to take it one step further, so I did some extensive research on Google and I came up with the answer.
Morris Dancing! What better way to get old-school values and quality into our work? It’s so obvious I can’t believe nobody has thought of it before.
Well, I called our workmen together and started handing out the ribbons and the sticks with bells on. I could tell right away they were really keen on the idea. ‘Great Geoff! Hey Nonny No’ they said. ‘It’s exactly what all our customers have been asking for. How did you know?’.
‘Geoff’, they said, ‘We’ve always wanted to do synchronised dance moves on our ladders while we’re painting. You’re a genius. Can we have a raise?.
It was all going so well, until a fight broke out over whether we should open each job with an English, Irish, or Polish folk dance routine. Then paint got into the little bells, and then onto Mrs. Parvin’s desk, and the office cat.
Then they got really upset because a rival decorating company decided to spray Stonehenge in orange paint.
So I’m afraid that, for the time being, the idea has been shelved.
All I can offer you for the time being is our painters whistling a selection of Taylor Swift numbers while they work, which we invite you to join in with
